Specifications
Not all seeds are created equal. We take great pride in
using only the finest proprietary seeds. We then use the experience we
have gained over the years to put them together in the right blend, so
they will compliment each other- not compete. This means lusher more
beautiful pastures with less supplementation for you, and more plenteous
balanced nutrition for your alpacas. Click Seed Descriptions for a
breakdown of the seeds we use in our mixes and their specifications.
Nutrient Detail
A soil test that gives a pH reading, Phosphorus reading and
a Potassium reading is not nearly enough information to be able to grow
healthy grasses and/or legumes for prized livestock. The complete analysis
will give much more information including Total Exchange Capacity(TEC) or
Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC), pH, Organic matter or Humus levels,
Nitrogen, Sulfur, Phosphorus, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium,
Boron, Iron, Manganese, Copper, Zinc and possibly more depending on the
situation. Nutrients are in the soil solution (and are said to be soluble)
and they are attached to the soil clay and humus particles (and are said
to be exchangeable). Most soil tests report both the soluble and the
exchangeable forms of the nutrients. Some soil tests report only the
soluble forms of the nutrients. Both tests are important and are very
useful in determining the soils need for additional nutrients to be
applied. Click on Nutrient Detail for individual nutrient descriptions.
